Relation In Favor Of Books The Key (True Reign #1)

Seventeen-year-old Rema lives in a brutal kingdom where travel between regions is forbidden, people are starving, and looking at someone the wrong way can mean death. Nineteen-year-old Darmik is the king’s son and Commander of the King’s Army. He spends his days roving the island, doing his father’s bidding and trying to maintain control over the people. When a chance encounter throws Rema and Darmik together, they share an instantaneous connection, but any sort of relationship between them is strictly forbidden. Darmik’s brother, the Crown Prince, notices Darmik’s interest in Rema and, in a calculated, political move, blackmails her. Faced with an impossible choice, Rema is forced to sacrifice her heart in order to save her family. As Rema is taken to the palace with the Crown Prince, Darmik confronts the growing rumor that a legitimate blood heir to the throne exists and is trying to overthrow Darmik’s family. In Darmik’s quest to hunt down and kill the threat, he discovers that nothing is as it seems. Locked in the king’s castle, Rema finds herself a key player in a massive power struggle. When Darmik shows up, she’s not sure if she can trust him. The line between friends, enemies, and loyalty becomes blurred. As truths are unlocked, Rema understands that she just might be the key to finding the rightful heir and restoring peace to the kingdom… if she can manage to stay alive long enough.

Assessment About Books The Key (True Reign #1)
I can pretty much sum up this book the following way: DAMNYOUCLIFFHANGERSBUTHOLYHELLTHATWASAMAZEBALLS. I went into this book knowing it was outside of my typical genre. I honestly anticipated a bit of a fluffy Romeo and Juliet-esque type of read. I couldn't have been more wrong. Jennifer Anne Davis absolutely blew me away with The Key. The character development was phenomenal, the plot was an absolute page turner and the heroine was probably one of my ALL TIME favorites. It is typically very

4.5 StarsHeres a few things you need to know about The Key when you start it. Its a series, so yes the book will end on a cliffhanger. Im not spoiling anything from you because that warning was screamed at me prior to reading the book. This is a YA book, so the steam is not there and the romance is mild, but plenty good in my opinion.Theres a lot that goes on in the book, but it worked for me completely.Reading YA fantasy books are something you have to be in the mood for and I was on the hunt

Actual rating: 3.5 stars I had very low expectations for this book but it turned out quite well. This is by no means a literary masterpiece - the writing occasionally reminded me of fanfiction (good facfic but still), it has almost zero plot and the mystery itself is non existent since we know the main twist from the beginning. And yet...It's fun XD It has all the tropes: long lost princess, damsel in distress, ruthless guy who's actually not that ruthless and has a soft spot for the girl, evil

I am completely disappointed. What a one-dimensional story. Not everything is black and white. I didn't particularly like any of the characters. The mystery was too obvious and the insta-love made me want to stop reading it. I just...I just don't even know what to say. I don't want too sound too harsh or anything but the writing wasn't that good and the characters were either brave and perfect or evil and completely flawed. I am probably not going to read the sequel. Also, everyone who's saying

This ebook was free on Amazon at the time that I bought it...but I just checked and it's $3 now. Oh, well. It's still a good buy! The plot itself was extremely engaging - albeit not particularly original - to the point where I found myself speed-reading toward the end because I was breathless with wanting to know what was going to happen next. My main gripe with this book was while the story might have been entertaining, the actual execution of it was marked by young-sounding narrative and

The Key is a riveting and breath-taking journey of an ordinary young girl who turns out to be anything but ordinary. Her story is one of bitter betrayal, profound love, and fierce determination. It is not one to be ignored or taken light, so heed this warning. Now, enter this story at the risk of your own heart, but dont let that make you shy away from the adventure and passion that awaits you.Rema could be considered as just another peasant girl. She was raised by her aunt and uncle into the

4.5 Stars!!!I feel that before I start with my review, there are a few things that I need to address right off the bat.1.) I DID receive a copy of this book for MY honest review.2.) I absolutely can NOT stand YA. Im sorry its just not my cup of tea.3.) I completely hate cliffhangers.4.) I am completely IN LOVE with this book and cant wait for the next book! Now that I have those out of the way, I will start with my review. When I first started reading this book, the switching of the POVs was
