One of my favorites books. I love this author.On of the best book I read from Marc Levy. This is his first book and I now understand how he became such a famous and read author. The story is full of lesson of life and very well written, just couldn't stop reading it.
I liked this well enough... Couldn't stand Suzanne but I know people like her therefore she was believable... The reason's why this book didn't get more then 2 stars is because to me the end was rushed... the book spend in over 20 years yet everything that happened was with a snap. I am currently married to a man who loves another woman more then he loves me. Believe me it takes more then a night out in town to make up for the negligence that can sometime occur in such situation. As for Mary,
I loved it, always loved this incredible rythme that Marc Levy knows perfectly how to induce into his books: this ping-pong game between the characters life in short and breathtaking paragraph!! I cried as always but been disappointed on how it ended as i probably already made up my mind on who will be his wife from the beginning!! Beautiful ending anyway!!
Wonderful story on mother-daughtter relationship
I dont know what I expected from this book. It was lying around in a friends shelve and I had nothing really to do. Knowing Marc Levy I thought it would bother me after a while. But lets say I finished it, and it wasnt because of its charming characters.Susan was way to egoistic and at the same time needy for my taste. Peter was too dependend on her. I felt a kind of hate that I always get when people are just whiny and dont start doing something with their stuff. What kept me reading were
