For Young Adults: Sixteen year-old Lexi Hunter is just an ordinary teenager wishing that her life could be as exciting as a reality tv show when her mom receives a phone call with the news that Lexi's cousin, Austin, was killed. She and her mom return to Briar Creek, the town that they left ten years ago, never looking back.

During their stay, Lexi falls head-over-heels for Gabe, the dark and mysterious guy who lives across the street and goes to the same high school that Austin went to. Lexi's Aunt Violet and Uncle Tommy insist on her staying away from him due to his violent behavior and instead urge her to pursue a relationship with Dan, Austin's best friend.

In an effort to learn more about the cousin she barely knew, Lexi snoops through Austin's belongings. Soon, she begins to uncover puzzling details that make her believe that Austin wasn't really attacked by an animal the night he was killed - details that may already be putting her own life in danger.

Article Out Of Books Kiss of Death (Briar Creek Vampires #1)
This would have been a better book if the author hadn't made the main character in the book such a "Dumb Blonde"!!! Even though she is only seventeen I think that most seventeen year girls are much smarter than you protray her. I wouldn't have bothered to read the whole series if I hadn't purchased them all at the same time. Your Howl series is so much better than this one!!!!

This book was not as great as i thougth it was going to be. First of all theres so many different guys in this book that this girl likes and doesnt like and then she has all this stuff going on around her and she doesnt find any of it weird. Then her mom dies and she cries and then is totally fine with it. She falls in love with this guy and kisses him on second time she meets him and wants to have sex with him already. I think it was written horribly and all you find out is that its about

I felt like I was reading a story written by my 14 year old daughter. Too much thought jumping and dropping and it was chaotic. I constantly wanted to bang my head against the wall. Unfortunately, I have ocd when reading, and I am compelled to finish reading the book or series, once I start. To my complete torture, this was a 7 book series.

lexi's cousin, mom, and friend? but yet she isn't totally freaked out. Her passiveness makes me dislike her as well as her being attracted to every guy in a mile radius. I do want to know more about all the unknown questions that I have after reading this book. This book has potential to get better as the series progresses. I can see lexi evolving as the series continue. I do enjoy the mystery and so far Gabriel is a pretty good character.

I'm unsure how to rate this book.I liked the writing. It was great and entertaining. But this book was a hot mess. It had me scratching my head a few times. I AM CONFUSED. I'm sure later books will clear that up, but I'm not sure if I want to continue.I like these authors. So I'm on the fence about reading book 2....

What I liked:-The beginning. The opening scene was what initially drew me into the story, and I found myself thinking that if the rest of the book was as mysterious, this would be an awesome read. Even though Austin seemed a little cocky and unlikable, I liked seeing things from his point of view.-The ending. The final chapter was the only thing that kept me from giving this book two stars. It was completely out of the blue and full of suspense and I never saw it coming. The ending was one of

is it possible to rate this less than 1 star?!
