All of my senses were alert to what kept happening to Neffie and the situations she found herself in. I dont know if I want to be proud of Neffie for not holding back exactly how she felt and fighting (mentally and physically) throughout the entire novel OR if I should be angry at how silly she was in a few of her altercations. Good BeginningThis started out interesting and was developing into what I thought would be a decent story. Neffie told of life as a slave and of her hopes for the future. Then the entire story shifted to her having to avoid her master as she was a "budding" girl. The dialogue became very repetitive and nothing new was happening. This could have ended at about 60%. The end was very lacking as well. All in all this was a major let down. One thing I found very annoying was the fact that Neffie
